A different view of Valentines Day.

Fellow Bloggers and Abolitionists,
Joining the abolition movement isn't like joining a bike club or a book club… no one's here because we like it.
We're here because we're heart broken. A broken heart is the only qualification needed to join the fight to end child slavery and exploitation. If we celebrate our broken hearts, they will be our best tools to change our world. That's what the Broken Hearts Club is about.

Valentine's Day is in less than one month! This year, celebrate in a new way: celebrate your broken heart.
Each year, Love146 supporters take Valentine's Day as an opportunity to celebrate Love and support Love146. This Valentine's Day, invite your friends to join you in celebrating your broken heart and help end child sex slavery.

As Valentines Day is coming up, please consider taking a stand against sex trafficking and Human Slavery. The above links tell about some great ways you can do that!

I am considering doing one of the events myself, and would love to hear your input. Plus there are downloads for some great invitations as well as decorations for your party. Even tickets.

So please take a moment to check it out and BE THE CHANGE.

May you have a blessed Monday!

Weekend Findings.

Oh Beautiful for Spacious Skies

"He has told you, O man, what is good;  and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?"
Micah 6:8

Open spaces, long hallways and curtains blowing in the breeze.
Hues of Creams, Blues, and Browns.
Mixing stripes, and words, with different textures.

At home-made, yet spacious touches to the kitchen table, bedside stand or even your clothes.

1. Lovely provence linens. Hand-loomed of natural linen with classic country stripes, our napkins are equally well-suited to pasta in a penthouse or a picnic in the park.
2. Browsing through some little collections, and stumbled upon these adorable teapots. Not sure where they came from, but I like them.

1. Boot designs from JCrew. Love the different textures on the boots as well as the socks.
2. A sea-sailing type of shorts. When spring comes, I am finding me one of these.
3. A very creative, Indian/tribal designed knapsack. Would love to make this.
4. Simple knit dress, striped scarf and thin leather belt. Love the simplicity yet stylishness of this outfit.

Breathe in the breath of life. Jesus Christ.
Take a brisk walk or bike a trail and just talk to God. He is listening always.

1. Another yummy recipe from Honey&Jam: Peach Blueberry pie
2. Another yummy recipe from Honey&Jam: Pear & Almond Chocolate Cake with Cider Glaze. Mmm, if you make it you must letme know how it turns out.
3. Chocolate Toffee Cookies.
4. Petite Pumpkin Spice Donuts. Oh my word, these are so good {At least my famiyl says so.} I made some for them the other day, and although I made them into muffins instead of donuts, there were still amazing.

1. Bacon, Egg and Toast cups. A very simple family recipe. I made it the other day, and mmmmmm.
2. Fluffy Banana Oat Pancakes. On this same page there are tips for picky eaters.

There are a few of my findings this past week. Inspirations for cooking, dressing, housing, and living in general. I hope you have been inspired.

Try some of these delicious recipes and let me know what you think!

Happy Saturday!

27,000,000

Sign Your Name & Stand For Freedom
Tonight, President Obama delivers his 2012 State of the Union address to our nation. As the President communicates his priorities for the coming year, will you join us in asking him to add one more?
Experts estimate that there are 27 million children, women and men held in slavery today. Sign a letter to the President and let your signature stand for an estimated 1000 people who need freedom right now.
